ACCOUNTS PAYABLE MANAGER (AP MANAGER)


 
Our client a foreign join venture company has appointed us to professionally recruit the following position as:
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE MANAGER
Responsibilities:
1.                   Plans, schedules, and directs the work of the accounts payable section.
2.                   Manages and coordinates activities required to ensure an accurate accounts payable system.
3.                   Develops and recommends policy and procedure to govern the payment of company bills to the advantage of the Company in terms of cash flow and discounts.
4.                   Establishes policies and procedures to improve the efficiency of the accounts payable section.
5.                   Manages the investigations of amounts due from the company for goods and services purchased.
6.                   Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring work activities by Account Payable team.
7.                   Ensures company policy and procedures relevant to Payables function (i.e. DoA) are clearly explained and complied by staffs and budget holders.
8.                   Manages maintenance of accounts payable ledger and prepares reports on the status of payables.
9.                   Research, analyze and resolve complex payment and vendor issues.
10.               Assist in the year-end closing and accrual process Oversee and assist in preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
11.               Performs training of staff on Accounts Payable related subjects
 
Requirements:
1.                   Bachelor's degree in accounting or professional qualification in accounting or equivalent.
2.                   At least 3 years working experience in an audit firm (preferably in any of the big 4)
3.                   At least 3 years working experience in Payables Department (preferably in a large multi-national company).
4.                   Familiar with internal control framework particularly those relevant to Payables and reimbursement functions.
5.                   Knowledge of working using ERP system such as SAP would be an added advantage.
6.                   Familiar with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Words and Power Point.

1.                   Able to deal with all level of staff in an MNC organization.
2.                   Possess effective communication skills. Ability to communicate in English is highly desirable.
3.                   A team player and possess good organization skills.
4.                   Strive towards continuous improvement in control and work processes.
5.                   High integrity, meticulous and has an eye for details.
6.                   Self starter, self motivated, independent and able to work under minimum supervision
7.                   Able to work under tight and changing deadlines
